It's been a while!
It's amazing how life goes by so quickly! My last blog was in September and now we've just finished our Christmas productions at school!
I enjoyed Pete's Christmas without the stuffing blog thanks. I tend to find that there's so much food at Christmas time that it can put me off food a bit as it all gets a bit rich and too much. Having said that, all those chocolates waiting for us in the staff room at break time are still inviting! I went out today to get B vitamins for more energy and aloe vera and probiotics to help digest the inevitable rich dishes and alcohol. Throughout the celebrations, catching up with family and friends will be my first priority and then excerise and listening to my body to try and only eat when I'm hungry.
Plan for the day
Good morning
Today I will go to Body Pump then I'm having my hair cut and I'll treat myself to a hair conditioning treatment. I'm going to get my friend's birthday present while I'm in town (and I might get myself a new top for her celebrations tonight!). I'll come home and do some sticking for work, clean the bathroom, put some washing on and take the dog for a walk. I will only eat when I'm hungry.
I will remember to eat to live rather than live to eat. Life is too full to prioritise it with thoughts of food.
When my body does need to eat, I will make healthy, nutritious choices.
Have a fun Saturday.
Hello
It's been while since I last blogged. I've been enjoying the luxury of school summer holidays. I've also invested in four hypnotherapy sessions to help discover why some negative eating habits formed in the first place and to tell my unconcious mind that I don't have to do them anymore. I'm sure some will think this is a bit whacky but to me, in many ways, it made sense.
Anyway, I hope all is going well for everyone.
Take care
Outcomes
For today:

blog here
Right, it's Body Attack tonight. I'll just check out the blogs then get myself together and go - I'm hoping it'll wake me up!
Relaxed...
Ar - I've just listened to the relaxation CD and then watched Tool 2 'Eating only when you're hungry'. I feel in exactly the right mind set to concentrate on the hunger scale every time I'm triggered to eat now.
Right, it's time to get my washing off the line (always satisfying when it's been sunny and windy), jog down to the gym and enjoy my Yoga session.
When I return I'll be cooking tea for my partner and I but I'll be putting that hunger scale into action!
A lovely social weekend
It's been a great weekend celebrating three friends' birthdays and my fiance's. Like true Brits we managed to bbq between the showers! My fiance made the most amazing marinade for the fresh prawns - it had fresh lime, chilli, ginger and corriander - the prawns were very popular! I moderated my drinking by having weak white wine spritzers with sparkling mineral water.
We've also enjoyed some lovely walks in the countryside over the weekend with our dog.
I've just woken up after listening to the relaxation CD and I'm thinking about the week ahead and how I can be as healthy as possible. My exercise plan includes going for a little jog each morning before listening to Pete and in the evenings I've booked: Monday - jog to Yoga and walk home, Tuesday - Body Pump, Wednesday - Body Attack, and Thursday - Cycle. Friday I'm looking forward to catching up with an old friend who I haven't seen for a while. All sounds like great fun.
Good night.
It's been a great first day
It started with a sunny bofore work jog, I kept to the tools of eating slowly, eating only when I'm hungry and keeping off stimulants. I also listened to the older relaxation CD when I got in from work but did my usual trick of falling asleep before any visualisation happened! After that little nap I went horse riding with my friend and then came home and cooked a healthy dinner of tuna steak, brown rice and fresh peas for our dinner.
All good!
Day 1
Getting the most out of the next 21 days for me means:
Getting fitter
Becoming lighter
Feeling more in control of what and when I eat
Making time to chill
Just been for a lovely jog in the sunshine!
My goal and how I plan to achieve it
My goal is to be 1 stone 7lb lighter. I'm going to focus on 4 tools for now:
1. Eat slowly
2. Only eat when I'm hungry
3. Reduce sugars and stimulants
4. Make time for the relaxation tracks
I need to remember to keep relaxed about my goal. I don't want to get obsessed about reaching the target, but simply take each day as it comes and lose around 2lb every week. IF I KEEP STEADILY ON TRACK IT SHOULD ONLY TAKE ABOUT 11 WEEKS!
I've taken some time to listen to the steps again and now I feel ready to start Day 1 tomorrow.
Good night.
All fired up and remotivated! Step 1
Hi all
There's been a break of report writing and celebrating 30ths as well as a Hen do but now I'm ready to get back on track!
What do I want?
To be healthy as I've been given this amazing body and want to look after myself and be as healthy to myself as possible.
To love and feel proud of my body. For my partner to love and feel proud of my body.
To walk with confidence in beach wear, underwear and all the latest fashions.
To have a confident persona when socialising and meeting new people.
(To be a lovely friend to everyone everyday).
To be the right weight to be able to ride my friends pony.
To clothes swap with my friends.
To feel great when I start trying on bridal dresses in August this year.
To be a slim, fit and healty fiance then bride and then wife for life!
Thanx
Lightweight
It was meant to be!
That's funny - I just logged on to do the relaxation CD and realised that Pete's talk of the day was about relaxation too! Right, hope you're all having fun, I'm off to relax and picture a slimmer me!
We love the sunshine!
It's been so lovely getting out and exercising in the sunshine today. I went for a really enjoyable jog with my great friend a couple of times around the local pond this morning and then had a relaxing walk around the park with my man and our dog this afternoon. Also, we keep having bbqs at the weekends which bring a whole host of healthy salad a protein options to the table.
Focus: eating slowly, only eat when I'm hungry, relaxation cd.
Have fun everyone.
21 Days to set myself up for a healthy lifetime
Hello I'm back. I can't believe how quickly 6 months is going by! I've worked out that I've got time for one more 21 day stint until my subsription ends. I AM SO PLEASED that I found and joined this programme. Since joining in January, I have received LOADS of compliments about looking fitter and healthier. Some of my closest friends told me how they had discussed that recently I seem to have blossomed into my most attactive time yet. Also, in the middle of this programme, my lovely fiance proposed to me. I've just had my 30th birthday party and spent the whole wonderful evening receiving lovely comments about how great I looked in my dress (something I had spent time visualising prior to this event!). I've also been able to buy skinny jeans and squeeze my calf muscles into Ugg boots - something that was a dream back in January. THANK YOU Pete Cohen AND ALL THE LOVELY SUBSCRIBERS WHO'VE OFFERED ME SUPPORT ALONG THE WAY.
So, on this new 21 day programme, I plan to really focus on eating slowly and only when I'm hungry. I reckon that , in general, I've nailed the rest but need to focus on those last two to set myself up for a lifetime of good habits.
