Day 21 The end or is it?


I've listened to each day this time round and things are falling into place. I know the tools and am getting fitter and healthier as well as happier .Here are my scores on the doors:
* giving yourself credit 7
* shutting the duck up 8
* eating slowly 5
* being very patient.5

* thinking before you eat.6
* using the Hunger Scale.4

I am now going to the gym 2 to 4 times a week and is I rememeber to eat slowly this will help me to lose the weight I would like to lose.
SO I will goive it ago and not doing hte days but try to blog as often as I need. Danger zones are Friday nights and Sunday nights.

Day 16 daily outcomes


This tool will work with your work life as well as for weight loss. My 2 outcomes for today are to eat slowly and only eat natural foods.

I haven't blogged since Monday as my time has been fully occupied with work as I am on a training course and still need to keep on top of my work. So I have been watching the videos and doing the mp3 plus drinking water. I notice I have been overeating so need to focus on today's outcomes.

Day 13 BAnk Holiday fun


Had a great day yesterday with the kids at Blue water. Choses a salad for lunch WAlnut and Gorgonzola so maybe not the best chose but better then I woould normally want. It's no good eating food if you don't enjoy it as well. I made a thai chicken salad last night whichis great as it's hot and has lots of fresh ingredients and is quick.

Been to the gym this morning and wanted to do Tesco at 8 straight afterwards but not open until 9 so came home. Made smoothie and have doen todays vid. In the past I would have got angry but now I have used the time postively so when I get back from buying allthe lovely fruit I can go into the garden to tidy it uo before having a rest with a DVD and the kids this pm.

Day 12 Orgasmic


Outcome for today is to have enjoyed my food and eaten in slowly. Dinrk 2 litres of water and sirvive BLuewater.

Off to the gym for opening time now so I can get out and at it.

Day 11


Just realised that I haven't blogged for the last few days as work as I have been out of hte house for too long. MAybe I should do this at the end of the day after work rather than try to squeeze it in before work.

Well today is the dy that I attempt to get inducted itno the gym after my painful experience last week. The BP is jmuch better now and I hope I can get started today as I have 3 days to get the habit in grained. Although busy I relaised that yesterday I ate a lot less than usual and I didn't go to the wine as I would usually on a Friday night. MAybe the 2 days off resting made me calmer and more in control.

Sorting out the fruit for the smoothies and freezing has been quite helpful but I think I liked the sensation of chopping before drinking it made them more satisfying. Though the frozen fruit from the shop is excellent to combine with fresh pineapple etc and having that in means I don't need to defrost too much before I make the smoothie.

Got my new Olive magazine yesterday so will go through and get some new recipes to try out. The booklet this week had some great ideas. I love trying new recipes out and adding them to my box to use again. You can get great ideas to get fresh flavours that you might not have tried before. They is a thai chicken salad just like you get at a thai restaurant but I'm sure it is better as there is no fat just great flavours and minced chicken. You eat it hot so not like a traditional western salad.

Well onwards to a fitter and healtier Sue.

Have a great weekend the weather is beautiful at teh moment so hopefully lots fo fresh air to help me breathe deeper.

DAy6/7 BP High


Didn't blog yesterday although I did read through many as I was off work. BP was still high and the doctor has now put me onto Ace inhibitors to go with t e calcium channel blockers i've been on for 10years. So have to ring gym today and get my money back; Disappointed as we were going to work out at the dolphin tonight although the doctor said I can do some exercise but not too much.

I am off work today to ensure my BP comes down.and I rest.

Son pleasedas I can take him to school and pick him up. He is stressed as he has a reading assessment today He's dyslexic so it will be a struggle but it is to determine how much help he needs.

Day 5 Passion


I hadn't realised how disappointed I would be at not being allowed byt hte gym to get started yesterday. HOwever maybe it shows how passionate I feel about getting fitter and healthier. Had wine lst night but realsie3d had not had nay alcohol since returning for hols a week ago. Pat on the back to me as I used to drink every day. I am going to make vigin Mojito's with the kids for luch today to drink inthe garden sunshine before the Grand Prix.

Because of the blood pressure issue yesterday I took it again this morning before my tablets and it was 184/101 ie extremely high so I think I do need to go see the doctor tomorrow to talk about it. I will start logging it here so I can keep a track.
So I did the mp3 both new and old and then listened to a CD I bought for the kids rays of calm which is relaxation for teenagers and I managed a furthe 90 minutes in bed relaxing. I didn't walk this morning so disappointed as it was beautiful but now it is too busy out there and I can't enjoy the countryside noises with the traffic in thebackground so going to Tesco and putting headphones on to lsiten to what I want rather than the inane chatter of the other shoppers.
Still finding it difficuklt to get through 2 litres of water on a weekend day but will consider aome new solutions later.

Otehr positive thing is I achieved my outcomes from yesterday although the gym one wasn't as successful as I would have hoped.

Thanks to Jas and Pete for making me feel less lonely than I did when I got back from the Gym. Kids were both away and the house was empty. NOramlly I enjoy yht etime on my own to potter but yesterday I was morose.

Will back today with a bounce tempered byt the high blood pressure concern.

Day 4 Gym induction today


Outcomes for today. Gym Induction and a session, mp3, Eat slowly, PLan meals for the week.
Feeling tired this morning as my body as reacted badly to a chicken salad danswich I had last night. Got it from the petrol station supermarket as was runiing late. My IBS flared up due to the wheat? or was it the chicken. Not been sick so must be the wheat.

Sky box picture has gone so can only hear the TV. My son must have messed around yesterday when he had an inset day but can't speak to him as he is on a sleepover . So thank god for the blog to keep me busy before I get ready for the gym.

\this is the tool I need to crack to get everythng else to fall into place. I will avoid the TV, reading etc while I eat. I also think I need to avoid people as I chat away but I will eat slowly even when socializing.

Day 2 joined Gym Last night


Joining the gym was one of my outcomes for yesterday and I did it. Have lost 500 pounds from the bank but hope to gain much more by losing more pounds from my body. SO now committed to a year at least and to make it worthwhile I need to go at least twice a week. So to start it wil be Saturdays and Sundays and then maybe some seesions before work at 6.15 if I can get a program to fit in 30 minutes.

Need to focus the eating slowly and get this embedded as it has been the hardest for me to crack but Pete is going over this tomorrow so will liksten and relook at the tool section to refresh my ideas.

Day 1 Dolphin Push


Seem to have lost last nights journal.

Goals- To be in Control around food and alcohol
Tone tummy
Fitter and Healthier

Have listened to mp3 already and had a great smoothie. Will try to reduce smoothie to half the size tomorrow as I have drunk a litre today as once the whey protein goes in you ca't leave it stadning. So if I juice the fruit and split it in 2 I will have enough for 2 days.

Also need to sort out the gym today and decide if I'm going to do classes enough to warrant the gold memebership rather than just silver. IF I take just silver then I can add the classes as and when I want.

Looking forward to the focus for the next 3 weeks and getting more habits to add to those I already do eg Water and mp3.

Day 16


Had another wobble yesterday it seems to be my daughter failing her driving test again. We shared a bottle of wine with dinner. Dinner was not too bad, corn fed chicken and ceasar salad. I then ate a whole bag of Figs. Normally have 2 or 3 but realised this morning I had eaten the whole bag myself and I feel stuffed this morning. Well I am now determined to do the outcomes I had planned- Walk this mornng as I missed it yesterday and listen to the old Visualisation Tape from Pete.

Day 11- What a roller coaster of life this week


Well after a week of highs and lows we have got to the end. School is off for 2 weeks and I have 2 weeks yes 2 weeks off work. Daughter is back with the boyfriend so did make the right decision to keep mum. It turns out she is hte one that wated the split but they are now talking better than ever so we move forward. Son sent me the first text he has ever sent me from school so I had to deal with his cricis. Mainly because his tutor doesn't seem to know how to deal with a bright dyslexic child. He seemed very pleasesd that he told my son to use a dictionary. As my son cannot do the alphabet in order a dictionary (unless it is his phonic electronic one ) is no use. I was so tired I will deal with this after the holiday. He reminded me of Grantly Budgen from the TV show Waterloo Road if you know the character.

Well today has started off better with a walk and a smootie. Have a hed ache as I had a tea at 5am while I caught up on Holby from Tuesday night. It is over a week since I had a tea so I think this is hte cause of the headache so will now try to aviod. Not sure that decaff coffee will be popular or availale in Italy when we go next Saturday.

I have my book to follow the days and I am trying to work out how to set up internet and email on my new mobile as then I should be able to access the vids that way as well as doing my R&T from the mobile. It will be great if I can get it all working.

THanks to all for your encouragement and I hope I will be more engaged this week with less stress for all sorts of reasons.

DAy 8 Trauma


Yesterday after the joy my daughter had on getting 2 uni offers she is really down now as she has split with her boyfriend of nearly 3 years! I will do the good mum thing and wait until she is ready to talk but I am angry with him for hurting her but will tread carefully as they may resolve it.

I got her chinese as a treat but I had a pumpkin risotto instead and didn't even fancy a taste of chinese. I aeem to have most of the foods under contol but I did really fancy a rare beef sandwich on white bread. I had it and ate it slowly so I really enjoyed it with the salad as well. That makes me think when I was young we sometimes had salad sandwiches with no meat etc. I will have to make one with some nice wholemeal bread at the weekend. DOn't even think sandwiches bars to ready prepared salad sandwiches without any chesse, chicken etc, Unless I ahven't noticed as I wuld avoid them in the past.

Hopefully I'll stay relaxed today and get through loads of work as I finish to morrow for 2 weeks holiday with the children.

It will give me more chance to focus on myself.

Day 7 Sorting my Life out


No walk this morning as too dark now clocks have changed. Will need to do something later after work.

Postive things that happened yesterday.

Got to petrol station without car running out of diesel.
Made smoothie and drank slowly.
Now understand George's confusion with multiple instructions.

I can do it!

Need to plan this week so I can be off next 2 weeks. Yippee
