Drinks = 4 cuppas, 5 squash, 1 horlicks light

Am going away tomorrow so not sure if I am going to have internet access for next 11 days. So you may be spared from such boring reading - well for 11 days or so anyway.....

As my nan always says when she says bye 'be a good girl' - so be good girls!

I can, I will suceed!

Okay didn't sleep till 4:30 - bloomin knee. Rang up hospital again to chase up my 'urgent' apppointment. Finally there is an appointment on the system - but not till 26th August - which means if surgery is needed wont be till beginning of September - just when I'm starting my new teaching job. I cried when I first found out it was going to be 4 weeks away and then gotta a grip. Did not reach for lemon curd sandwich as first wanted - instead I had my breakfast.

I don't know what to do - I'm truly fed up of all the restrictions my knee gives but to go private will cost me at least one months wages - however, it means I will get it all sorted about a month earlier than going through the nhs and it should be sorted before I return to school. Does anyone know any good private knee specialists that will be happy to be paid in babysitting services or private tuition of their children??

Am of to chat and discuss options with my darling husband - although my knee kills - I think he has suffered more than me - you guys have seen how much I winge - imagine what I'm like to live with!! :)

Jade's Food Diary - Day 9

Brek = Oat-a-bix, soya light and an actimel
Lunch = picnic lunch - quiche, brie baguette, vegetable nibbles with dip, handful of crisps, biscuits, cakes (yes that is plural - fairy cakes - mainly air!)
snack = 2 more air cakes
tea = oven chip buttie with extra chips on the side (potatoes count as a vegetable - don't they???)

drinks = 4 cuppas, 6 glasses of weak squash, 1 large red wine.

Yes I have indulged myself today - even more than usual. However, I am happy and stress free and been in control.

Jade's Food Diary - Day 8

This might be a bit boring for anyone reading...

brek = oat-a-bix and soya light + actimel
snack = banana + apple
Lunch= marmite sandwich + plus low fat cheese spread on baguette,
snack = 3 dried apricots
Tea = chinese (jar of hosin sauce) and basmati rice
snack = packet of revels

Drinks = 3 teas, 4 glasses of squash, 1 horlicks, 2 glasses of red wine

A very very stressful day - So am pleased with today's food diary.

Jade's Food Diary - Day 7

Brek = oat-a-bix, actimel
snack = raisins and dried apricots
lunch = tofu fried in pesto sandwich
snack = roast veg and potatoes (leftovers)
Tea = salad with boiled egg and feta
snack = packet of revels + large glass of red wine

Drinks = 8 squash, 4 teas

boy was it hot today! Fairly pleased with today. Am really beginning to stop eating when had enough.

Jade's Food Diary - Day 6

Museli with extra brazil nuts and raisins + actimel
6 dried apricots
pasta in cheese sauce with spinach and tomatoes
carrot sticks dipped in cheese and pineapple spread
Roasted veg and potatoes

Drinks: 6 cups of tea, 6 glasses of squash, 1 horlicks

Had a sweet tooth today and the carrots in cheese spread helped. Have also discovered that feeding my 20mth old son whilst eating my dinner slows me down immensly. Am feeling fuller much quicker. Saved rest of my roasted veg and potatoes for lunch or snack tomorrow.

Jade's Food Diary - Day 5

Brek = Museli with soya light milk + actimel
Snack = 3 dried apricots and handful of raisins
Lunch = new potatoes (home grown) with olives, feta and olive oil - yum yum
Tea = Party food: slice of pizza and quiche, crisp and salad roll, two cocktail sticks with cheese and pineapple, small amount of salad, 2 cookies and slice of birthday cake. - shouldn't have eaten the cake - first mouthful was nice but then very quickly got sickly.
Evening snack = handful of carrot sticks.

Drinks = 4 cups of tea, 1 pure orange juice, 1 pure apple juice, 1 horlicks and 6 glasses of squash.

Felt silly for eating the cake as I clearly didn't enjoy it after first mouthful - one of those very british things where do not want to offend the host and ate it to please someone else. This is not something i will do again. The rest of the food at the party was lovely and I enjoyed every mouthful. Even more pleased with myself as usually if I feel I've had a 'bad eating day' I'll continue - the typical thing Pete talks about 'Oh well I've already blown it...' - so was pleased that in the evening just had some carrot sticks. I wasn't hungry but felt the need to munch on something. I also cracked on with the ironing - kept me busy and gave me a sense of achievement as now all done and I have clothes to wear again!

Jade's Food Dairy - Day 4

Museli with soya light + actimel
handful of carrot sticks
1 portion of mixed fruit
egg mayo sandwich with packet of walkers crisps (they use a better oil)
6 dried apricots
handful of raisins
2 cubes of cheese
macaroni bake (didn't finish it as full before end)
horlicks
4 cups of tea
6 glasses of water/weak squash.

Overall a much better day even though I overhead staff saying I wouldn't fit in (am new to the school) as didn't want to eat the cakes in the staff room - I think they were jesting. Am going to a children's party tomorrow so am going to make sure I eat something before going.

Jade's food diary - day 3

Oat-a-bix and soya milk light + actimel
8cheese and biscuits + 1 cheese and potato salad baguette
packet of starburst
1 jam doughnut
pasta in sundried tomato sauce (weatherspoons meal)
3/4 of a bottle of rose wine
2 ice-creams
1 horlicks
3 tea
3 drinks of weak squash
2 waters

oh dear oh dear oh dear ...

Jade's Food Diary - Day 2 - Oh Dear!

Not sure if I want to admit to this but here goes:

Oat-a-bix and soya milk, cup of tea, actimel
Stir-fry with satay sauce
Home made banana and choc chip muffin (very large)
2 biscuits + 2 cups of tea
Goulash and basmatti rice
Packet of crisps - didn't even want them but still ate them - why-oh-why-oh-why?
Horlicks

Total drinks of weak squash = 4 (1L)

Jade's Food Diary - Day One

Brek = museli and soya milk + cup of tea with tiny bit of sugar
Lunch = pitta with lowfat mayo and salad leaves + 1/2 cup of tea
Snack = 1 portion of fruit (mixture of grapes, pineapple and kiwi
Tea = Veggie burgers in white bread buns with cheese, relish and salad.

Extras = cup of fruit tea and normal tea both with incy bits of sugar in.

Have probably drunk about 4 glasses of squash and will probably have a horlicks before bed.

This is a brilliant day for me as if we'd started yesterday it would have looked very very different. I wish every day looked like this
:)

Stomping in the rain :)

Well I reached 21 days today and am ready to start all over again. My knee didn't feel so bad this morning so went for a cycle - aggrevated it (no surprise there). I just want to be active - I am losing all the muscle tone I achieved through the cycling challenge - I'm losing weight but gaining cms - this can only mean that I am losing muscle. Anyway I have applied ibuprofen gel to the knee and it appears to be helping so am still heading for Curves tomorrow with a support bandage - maybe this is stupid (quack, quack, quack, quack, quack) but I am not a sit down girl anymore - I've changed. I'm not suffering from the Blues anymore - yes Vicki I am dancing in the rain - would like to stomp a bit - does that count?????

Not the mean reds but the blues for sure!

Is good to be back online - have had a few problems with internet going on-off-on-off - the sort of thing that is chinese torture.

Am feeling a wee bit low at the moment. I joined curves and since initial visit haven't been. I hurt my knee a couple of days before doing a dance video - the moves were too fast and I twisted my knee (I have dodgy knees anyway!) so I shouldn't have been working out but it didn't feel too bad - however - it bloomin well does now! I am even struggling to walk on occasions. I was flying so high when I signed up and now am feeling very very frustrated. Lady at Curves was brill when I spoke to her and said that I can come in and just use upper toning machines which is what I will do on Monday - after all my recent activity and pondering what type of exercise to do next this is all rather annoying (imagine me with gritted teeth!). I am trying to remain positive but it is sometimes so hard and I trick myself into thinking only milky bar button icecream or jammie dodgers will help ;) and we all know how that is going to turn out don't we ....

Day 13 (R4)

Life is good. David Tennant is still Dr Who. The X-files is coming back to the big screen with the original Mulder and Sculley. I did an exercise video this morning! I didn't even stop to answer the phone (normally a perfect excuse!) Lovely Wendy can certify this.

I managed to have a glass of wine without chocolate, crisps or any snacks. A good week all in all. Having made the decision not to give up wine and chocs but to reduce (greatly) it made it easier. Now am drinking only at weekends and I only ever have a couple of drinks in one session anyway before I fall asleep - age! So a bottle of wine has lasted me 2 weekends and my husb had some of that. Am going to have my weekly weigh in tomorrow and am looking forward to it as I know my clothes feel looser this week so even if the scales do not reflect then I know measurements on the tummy will. I thought it would feel strange weighing myself again as had to give it up at one point as was a tad obsessive and weighed myself 2/3 times a day, every day - now have a healthier relationship with the green digits. Well I am going to stop rambling now as my objective for the day was to be in bed by 11pm. I adore David Tennant ...

Day 10 (R4)

All tools going well. The one I struggle with the most is the reducing stimulents and sugar so have stuck with this one and doing well - well the last 3 days anyway! What can I say I am my mother's daughter and I just love a glass of wine! However, unlike my mother I can stop after a couple - but instead usually turn to chocolate or biscuits. However, am reducing - not giving up - but reducing.
