Subliminal Message ??????
PETE COHEN I WANT A WORD WITH YOU!! ;DDD
I swear I just got a subliminal message on the TV .... I was fast forwarding through the adverts (whilst watching The Hoff) and I honestly saw Pete's name flash up on the screen it said in big text Pete Cohen, I was so convinced I rewinded and watched through 5 adds ......and....... nothing!!
Is it just me???
My New Challenge (MNC) Day One
G'Morning all :))
Hope you all had a happy Easter. I got through it relatively unscathed although I have a freezer full of eater egg (the kids) which I wish would dissapear !!
Right I have a new challeng which starts today and will run till the weekend of the 15th May (just over a month) which will be my sons 2nd birthday and my Nephews Christening. We will be going down south for the weekend and we're booked into a beautiful hotel. W e are staying two night and because we have the boys (need a family room) we upgraded to on of their suites, it's just for two nights but I'll be damned if I'm gonna book in feeling like a bag lady so after I have typed this I'm going to finish epilating OUCH!! then I'm going to French Polish my toes :) I know it's a month away but I'm mentally preparing RIGHT NOW! also right after the weekend I'm planning MNC11 which will be challenge No 2 for 3 weeks on the run upto my friends wedding & our 9th Wedding Anniversary in June.
After that I'll think about MNC111 and so on setting myself mini Challenges until I reach my Goal and THEN .......... my biggest challeng will be to pass my 1st YEAR in healthy maintenance :))
Right guys n gals, I'm off for another busy day, thanks for all your messages last week Winnie is a lot better, can't wait till she can stay in the field over night (it will help keep her leg mobile & stop it siezing up)
Not got chance to spell check so apologies for typo's.
Love & Hugs, Gem xxxx
Day 10 C3 - Reflections & A Revelation :))
Morning you lovely people :))
Over the last two weeks I have felt a little bland, busy but personally I felt as though things were slowing down. The great news is I just wandered right through this phase, in the past I would have careered off track and caused myself a massive set back.
During the last two weeks I've been under a lot of stress good & not so good, I'm worried about my horse, she's made an initial improvement and then yesterday she trotted in from the field ok but after about 15 mins standing still whilst I groomed her, she could barely take a single step :( I went to check on her late last night & she was eating ok but still clearly in pain. I'm just off to see her now.
That was a bit of a sub story but has been a contributer to me feeling a bit sad. On a brighter note we have two new engineers who we have been training who are settling in really well (thank god) ... Oh poo I've just poured my tea down my chin OOPs :))
Anyway, the reason to note this down is to my utter suprise I have not gained weight as I feared, I have actually lost two more lbs.
Not getting weighed so often is brilliant for me and I refuse to get weighed unless I try on a piece of clothing I've been trying to get into first.... if that feels a bit looser, I know I'm ok to have a peek. It gave me such a boost :) I am definitely converted to the NOT getting weighed so often idea.
Some people might have expected to lose more than a stone in nearly two months but for me it's honestly the best, most healthy thing I have ever done. I suffer from horrible psoriasis and just before I started this program I was covered in it from head to toe after a massive flare up due to taking penicillin for a nasty chest infection, now... It's nearly gone!! I know this is down to my healthy eating I LOVE SPINACH ha ha ! :)) My back (SIJ & Slipped Disc) is also loads better :)
Sooooo my message to anyone who feels like they are stuck in the mud.......Just take a deep breath and take tiny baby steps forward, it's ok to pause from time to time, just make sure you keep moving in the right direction. For me it dosen't matter how long it takes just so long as I keep going. So next time I feel I'm slowing down I know I can reasure myself which will spur me on .............BRING IT ON :))))
HAVE A GREAT DAY, Love Gem xxxx
Day 8 - C3 :))) ...COMPUTER SAYS NO !!
Subtle Success ..... 7 weeks ago I got extremely excited about this program, I didn't know why at the time, I just had a really great, strong gut feeling. I suppoe one way to describe it is; after standing on a platform for what seems like an eternity, a train pulls into the station with my destination emblazoned across the front. I stepped onboard, sat down, relaxed back into my seat just knowing I was on my way home:) ... I'm about a third of the way through and I have to say the view is getting better as my journey goes on :))YUP that all sounds a bit deep but as you will know if you have read back through my blog I keep finding myself scratching my head and thinking how come I didn't do this before? ... It's a bit like computer problems (I work with them so here's an analogy for you) .... The computer crashes, on re-boot a message box flashes up on screen and in a nano second you click the little red X to delete the message. Thats the problem with most computer faults, the majority of pc users fail to be able to or even want to read what is written right there in front of them. If they had stopped for a second it is highly likely they would have signifcantly reduced the damage ultimately caused by ignoring the warning signs. Can you see the parallels? I know for sure that there have been dozens of little warning messages flashing up in my mind which have been brushed aside before this program made me STOP, slam on the BRAKES & LISTEN. I've had an incredibly busy couple of weeks both at home and in work, in the past I would have lived from one take away to the next. Now instead I have retained a reassuring calmness, an ability to think about the right choice to make. The worst I have done is I had to pin myself down to catch up on a few days petecohen.tv info, I find the podcasts are brill because I can listen to them anywhere, in the car, in the shower, trudging up the field to catch my horse, cleaning etc etcOOPS RAMBLE ALERT !! ... is that tumble weeds I can hear again LOL! OK enough from me, I'm going to grab a few mins to read through your blogs and see how you lovely people are getting on :)Love & Hugs, Gem xxxx
SPAM ... no not the tinned kind ;D
Hi Pete,
I think we might have a Troll... I got an email alert saying I had a comment made about a journal entry. When I looked it was a link to a WOW site from "world of warcraft gold" the two links were:
(PROBABLY BEST NOT TO CLICK ON THEM DUE TO THE THREAT OF MALWARE ETC.)
http://www.itemchannel.com/
http://www.gold4power.com
Could I advise everyone NOT to go near these sites for the above reason & also because we had £1,800 hacked Via our PayPal account from some one trying to buy World of Warcraft (WOW) level cheats! We were also threatend by these people when we got paypal to reverse the transaction.
PETE - could you look into this?
Cheers GEM :) xx
PS ... right detective head off ......... Reuben has got a head masters award today WIT WOOO!!! I've got my tissues ready, then me & hubs are off for a HACK (on horses NOT computers LOL!) HAVE A GREAT DAY!
PCTV ROCKS !!!
Day 1 C3 ........ BRING IT ON !! :))
Good morning all,
RIGHT !!!! (Jumps up n down Tigger stylie) pow! pow! ... let me at em!!!
If the next 21 days produce what the last 2 cycles have, I'm onto a winner. I'm just about to listen to the mp3 and for the next 21 days I resolve to follow the program as though it were my first 21. I love the fact that it rolls round in cycles of 21 as it's long enough to get a good result (mind wise, the weight loss is a happy side effect)
Thanks everyone for your messages yesterday & for the FB invites :))
If anyone has just joined this program, take it from me IT WORKS, just so long as you listen, absorb & act upon all the brilliant info Pete gives in the video's. It's so simple....... If you come across a hudle, THINK LIKE AN ATHELETE, take a big deep breath, don that steely face of determination & LEAP !! after all WHY should lifes hurdles get in the way of what we work hard for and DESERVE :)))
HAPPY BRITISH SPRING TIME WHOOP WHOOP !! BOIIIINNNNNNGGG!
Have a great day, Love Gem xxx
42 down 14 off & 8.5" Just melted away WHOOOPEEEEEE :)))
GOOOOOOOD MORNING!!!Well it's 6.30am Sunday (5.30 in my head... I forgot the clocks sprang forward) Hubby has just driven off to Santa Pod for the day & I ......Oh yes ME! .. have a child free, husband free day YYYEEEEEHAH!!!So I'm gonna raz around, get some ironing etc. done then after putting horsey out to play, I'm going to our local ODE (One Day Event) to get some great equine action shots, I'll have some of them up on FB later.Right now about the good stuff... I am soo excited to report that I've completed day 21 C2 and in just 6 short weeks I've lost a stone in weight and shed 8.5 inches of my middle OOOP THERE IT IS !!! :))I keep pinching myself, I just can't believe that I've achieved so much and I'm not ashamed to say I'm giving myself a HUGE pat on the back today YAY ME :)So Day 1 C3 you better watch out coz here I come SHAKING THAT ASS, SHAKING MA LIL (ish;) ASS.What have I learnt? how did I do it? ..... Well I did a huge amount of talking (to myself) using affirmations. I DRANK WATER! when I would normally think I was hungry, I reduced Sugar (that made a huge difference) and I MOVED more. I'm loads more active, something I found difficult at first as I have a back injury. Oh and a great bonus which you will already know, I NOW LOVE IRONING !! ... thanks Pete :))OMG I nearly forgot..... my husband has also lost a stone, he's scratching his head because I didn't tell him to do this with me but I do all the meals so I suppose him losing something was inevitable!I spoke a lot about the program a few weeks ago and found it difficult to explain, the reason I have discovered is because it's so simple, when I explain it to people, I know they are expecting me to reveal some magic trade secret. Now in the last week people have been coming to me and asking how I did it, I have found that simply revealing that I have successfully re-trained my brain and that the weight loss is a side effect of this, it pokes their curiosity, they start asking questions (because they can see the results) then it makes it much easier for me to tell them how simple it is .... it's a bit of a no brainer once you've been at it for a month or so HOWEVER I am extremely aware that I don't have a Masters in this so I'm being mindful to keep logging on (even though I've had an incredibly busy few weeks) I'm so aware that Rome wasn't built in a day .... I'm hoping to graduate around Christmas :)))
OK peeps, I'm ofski for a day of busy busy busy, hope you are all well, A BIG HELLO to Wendy, great to have you as a friend on FB & Congrats for being the 1st Winner of Member of the Month, 50 lbs......AMAZING!
To Pete, Sue, Ash & the rest of the gang, HAVE A GREAT SUNDAY xxxx
Day 12 - C2 - You Win Some, You Lose Some :))
OK that title was a shameful play on words....read on ....
Before I start I have to proclaim Pete Cohen IS TRANSFORMING MY LIFE !!!
I might not be able to get onto my journay every day due to my lovey busy busy life (I work hard and money is always tight, but I am so thankful for my lot) I think I am extra thankful now because my mind feels easy, my worry boxes have all been ticked :) and my list of new challenges is growing HURRRAHHH!
A LITTLE HISTORY: Having been around horses most of my life for the last two years I have been horseless due to babies, business & finances. I still socialised around my horsey circles and am never short of a mount but it's just not the same... I missed my one to one equine therapy. Two days ago the equine stalk arrived with Winnie :)))) We don't have the cash available to buy a new horse at the moment so this came as a total shock. A dear friend of ours owns our local riding school and Winnie has been with them since she was 3. She's 13 now, 16hh and is sooo beautiful with a personality to die for (she is VERY vocal, which is hillarious, Hence the name) anyway long story short, My lovely friend has given her to me WOW. You may be wondering why? well she's got an intermittent niggle in her front hoof which means full time work inthe riding school is a bit much for her, so she's come over to me where she will spend all day running round the fields with the other mares (bliss for her I'm sure) and along with being stabled at night, she will only be ridden a few days a week now. My long term wish is to take her to some local shows. Go see her on my Facebook page, look up Gem Watson in Pete's friend list :)
Now onto my progress, I'm absolutely delighted to report that I have lost just under a stone & 7 inches off my middle, I feel amazing SOOO HAPPPY :)))
AN apology: Once again I'm so sorry I can't get on here evey day, but believe me I am here in spirit and am so inspired by you lovely people :))
Have a wonderful weekend ..............HERE'S A LITTLE SONG I WROTE, YOU MIGHT LIKE TO SING IT NOTE FOR NOTE DON'T WORRY BEEEEEEE HAPPPPPPY :))
LOVE & HUGE HUGS, GEM XXX
Day 1 - Cycle 2 :)
G'Mornin all,
LETS GET IT STARTED M-MM LETS GET IT STARTED OH YEAH! ........
Day 1 - C2 I've got a great feeling about the next 21 days, I feel so much more familiar with the program which is giving me great confidence. The though of going back to old eating habbits is starting to feel unfamiliar.
I ticked all the boxes in my tools section today, I figure if I start with full marks, I'm going to fight to keep them, rather than start with few and work up. It's a little psycological game I played over the last 21 days and for me, it works :) So at the beginning of each day I tick all the boxes, then the next morning I go back and make adjustments on the grades (keeping it real) I spend a few mins looking at each tool and thinking about how I did and what I could do better. This really helps me focus.
I've got such a busy week ahead, I tend to start my healthy mind plan on a Friday, which gets me through the weekend, then by Moday (today) I feel so focussed knowing I have already sewn the seeds:))))
Right I'm off to do an hour of work before my gorgeous little fellas wake up, have a great day.
Love & hugs Gem xxx
Day 21 Phase 1 complete! ..... I'm chomping on the bit ready for Phase 2 >>> :)))
I FEEL GOOD D-NER-NER-NER-N-NER !!!!!!! ..............It's day 21 and the last three weeks have been an amazing realisation, revelation & most importantly reassurance :)I keep getting light bulb moments (just ike Wibbly explained) where my sub consious mind will suddenly make me do something or make a choice ... or NOT feel like doing something that would normally have me crashing off the rails. I'm more excited about this than anything else!I have worried a little over the last 21 days that I have not filled out my journal every day and I feel guilty that I'm not interacting as much as I would like to do due to my work and family committments, I have reasurred myself that as long as I pop on evey week or so to catch up I can still feel like part of this very special team.I have just had a quick catch up and you lovely people are so inspiring, just reading how you are coping with the every day stresses life throws your way BELLOWS out a real TRUE FACT ....... this program is working for you too :))) it's so subtle I find it difficult to explain to people, I get frustrated that I'm not doing the program justice then I think to myself, stop worrying I'm already testament to how brilliant this is, it's not rocket science, on the contrary it's so obviously simple once you learn how to see/read what is actually written in front of you, wether that be physically or in your minds eye (hope that makes sense :)Right i'm off to listen to the stages again (whilst doing the ironing) IT'S A NEW DAWN, IT'S A NEW DAY, IT'S A NEW LIIIIIFFFFFEE FOOOOOR MEEEEEE & I'M FEEEEELING GOOD DER-DDER-DERD-D-DD!!!!! (I just know you will get that song stuck in your head hee hee .....enjoy!!!)OH and not that it's important but I've lost 6 inches of my middle WHOOOPPEEEE :)))) Have a wonderful Sunny Sunday.Love Gem xxx
Day 14.... the morning after the night before :)
My body knows! .......Had a great funny night out lots of goofing about, I had a couple of glasses of fizz before dinner, then drank water throughout the meal, opted for popodoms & mixed tandori with salad and mint yoghurt in place of theusual curry sauce (I much prefer the mint yog to the sauce anyway) after we headed over to a wine bar, again I had spring water THEN found myself at the bar ordering a round of shots I know I know .... so one shot down we went back to our friends house & spent a hillarious couple of hours playing bowling on the wii. I thought I was the best ;p I think the score board was broke coz it said I came LAST !!! this morning I feel like I got a bit of a work out so that will have helped work of the 2 extra glasses of fizz had whilst bowling LOL!
Thanks so much to everyone & Pete for your comments yesterday, I had a brill day all be it a tad off the rails, but It did me good to see how I behave around food and drink now I am starting to re-program my mind:)
Right gotta go Gabriel has just out his bowl of Weetabix on his head.... again!!
Have a wonderful Sunday!
Love Gem xxxx

Day 13 - preparing in advance
Good morning you lovely people,
First off thank you so much for your replies yesterday, I got out and walked for hours (retail therapy LOL)
Tonight I'm going out for an Indian with drinks, so rather than feel dread that I'm going to blow it, I have planned in advance, I've already decided what my food will be for the day including an allowance for the drinks. I'm going to opt for the mixed tandorie with salad and curry yoghurt sauce & popodoms with chutney. I'm going to have a lovely glass of fizz while I'm getting ready and then I'll alternate between long alcoholic drinks (well mixered down) & tall glasses of soda. I've adjusted the calorie allowance for the rest of the week to ensure I balance today.
I start my healthy eating week on a Friday rather than a Monday, I find it really helps me to keep on track at the weekends. If I did it the other way and started my week on a monday, I would run the risk of getting to Friday and thinking Oh sod it I've only got a couple of days left before Monday (hope that makes sense) I've never done this before in past attempts to lose weight, it really felt like a EURIKA moment when I thought of it and so far it's worked a treat :)
Have a great day xxxx
Day 12 ....What Scales?? :)
Hi all,
Well it's day 12 for me, I've had a busy week, I've started each day with Pete and go to bed every night looking forward to waking up knowing Iskipped down the healthy track the day before. Those few moments when I first wake are the times when I used to remember the rubbish I had consumed the day before and I'm sure a lot of you will know that horrible heavy feeling it gives you, not a great way to start the day ehh?
Also I cannot believe Ihave have managed to ditch the scales I got weighed a couple of weeks ago, normally I jump on the scales every morning and depending on what that number says determins weather I have a good or bad day BONKERS I KNOW soooo I spent a few days reasurring myself that I need'nt worry about being weighed, I have you guys, Pete & the program as support.
On Monday (day 7) rather than getting weighed, I got the tape measure out and was stunned to find I had lost 4 INCHES (2: waist, 1: bust & 1: hips) I am apple shaped which is the most dangerous shape to be health wize so can you imagine how excited I was to find I had shifted 4 inches from my apple LOL!
As Pete says SCALES ARE FOR FISH!! .... I know that as long as I stick on the right track it dosent matter what the scales say, I actually have a mental weigh in each day and the number is ALWAYS positive hee hee. I'll do my measurements again in another week or so and I have an item of clothing i'll pop on once a week to keep my eye on the prize :))
Have a great day all, Love Gem xxx
