Day 10 - My Tools
Hello my dear friends,
So, today I am going to reflect on what I've been doing so far. My main goal is to to eat more consciencisly and eat only when I am hungry,
The radical for myself decision was to stop eating breakfast at home. As I read many times, never leave the house without eating first. I got in habit of eating my breakfast at home despite the fact that I have only woken up not even 30 min ago, and not hungry. So, I started to take my cereal and yoghurt and fruit with me to work, and instead coming in ~15min earlier to eat there. In addition, on my way to work, I would drink ~0.5l of water. Doing this for a week, and I noticed big difference. Somehow, I have less of those mid-morning cravings before lunch, and in general I feel more full and satisfied, especially the first half of the day. I think that this is a result of part drinking more water, and part that from the very beginning of the day, your body learns to wait to eat only when you are hungry instead of when it is necessary, so it is more authentic.
Another cool thing I started now was to start listening to the radio after lunch. And usually I would get cravings after lunch to eat something sweet, even if I am full. But listening to the pleasurable music in my headphones, takes my mind off it. Thank god I have a company that allows that!
So, these are my 2 big discoveries. But I need to keep experimenting and see what other things can help me stay on track. I am thinking the relaxation and motivation soundtrack? Sounds good to me, I already did it once.
