Got Lost but on my way back!
Well it's been some time since I've blogged – must be 3 weeks?
Where to start ... I've been REALLY FED UP! There's seems no point beating about the bush – life has been difficult. I'm usually very good at picking myself up and getting on with life but this time it's been hard.
Undoubtedly the ongoing problems with my elderly Mother are affecting me deeply. She's 84, uncooperative, unpredictable, irrational, obsessive and at times nasty and there is absolutely nothing I can do about it. I'm very angry with her for making life so miserable, I thought I could cope but apparently not.
My love of exercise and energy for life normally sees me through but not this time. It hasn't helped that Dad (no longer married to Mum) fell and fractured his arm and now is in hospital with a bladder infection, a friend has been diagnosed with Lymphoma, another has kidney disease and so it goes on. I too have had a sickness bug that left me feeling washed out and low in energy which means I haven't been able to exercise which means I'm REALLY FED UP!
Hey ho time to move on and pick myself up. On the positive side I've drunk very little alcohol, my eating has remained healthy and this week I shall get back into some training. I've booked up a week in Norfolk – an apartment on the cliff overlooking the beach and can't wait to get away. Hubby's having a minor op in a weeks' time and then we're off on the 20th. Sun would be nice but I'm okay with dry.
The programme has been neglected so I think I may start again – I have a pesky 4 or 5 pounds I'm going to shift. Enough to make my jeans feel comfy and my training kit look a bit better.
Today I will do some abs and stretches, my yoga session and then out to lunch with a friend I haven't seen for months so lots of catching up to do. Later I shall visit Dad (over 2 hour return journey) and then home to practice dancing with hubby as we have not managed any for ages. Tomorrow I hope to do a spin class in the morning and if all is well Zumba in the evening. Thursday and Friday are training sessions with my PT and by then I expect to feel GREAT!!
I shall spend a few minutes catching up with your blogs – I have missed you all!
Take care and have a really, really good day.

Juggling with family can take its toll on you; make sure that you have a chance to relax. Sounds like your holiday will be at just the right time for you. Enjoy
So sorry to read about all the issues that you are dealing with right now. I've missed reading your blogs but sometimes we need to spend time with ourselves before blogging about our problems, disappointments and achievements - I know I do !
The apartment in Norfolk sounds great - just sitting at a window looking down at the beach sounds amazing. Hope you can be gentle with yourself as far as your Mother is concerned (as you say, there is nothing you can do to change the way she is) and that your Dad improves soon.
It's pouring with rain here in London but the sun is trying to shine in my head (if you know what I mean !).

Now mum's got an infection and she asked me to come and stay at the weekend. Why did I feel guilty saying "No" when I had 2 teenagers revising, hubby going off to Europe on business and sorting out taking the kids back to boarding school on Sunday.
Have a lovely time in Norfolk. You have a busy schedule of excercise planned. Well done!
I'll be thinking of you when I'm in Oundle for a Midsummmer Ball on 26 June. We're staying at the Crown in Elton. Take care of yourself...lots of deep breathing to keep calm. Big hug X
Your holiday sounds lovely, nice to have it to look forward to.
Take care.

With regard to lack of exercise I also mirror that feeling. I am SO bored with my lot at the moment - except for Zumba of course!
I look forward to reading your next blog and taking inspiration from you and where to go next...
Big hugs to you xxx
I am sending you a great big hug.
We all love you and care for you
If you want to have a little laugh then check out my friends dog. How cute is he

Thanks for your kind words and you were right the little dog really made me laugh - especially the Barking comment!
Feeling better today as spin and zumba have given me a great boost but I'm sure I will have some tough moments over the next few months.
Cheers me dears.

Feeling better today after spin and zumba - nothing better to lift the spirits me thinks.

Thanks you so much for your kind thoughts and hugs. With regard to your guilt feelings about saying no - I have a very wise friend who has had many major problems in her life and she always says "do what you can and then forgive your heart". I believe you made the right decision as you too are a Mum and must take care of your children who need you at the moment.
Have a great time on the 26th - that's the day we return home hopefully feeling very chilled out.
