Totally knackered Thursday
What is going on with my sleep patterns? I was still awake at 4 a.m. this morning - what is that all about?!? Consequently I am cream crackered today. I had a gym session booked that I limped to but in the end really enjoyed although I did yawn a lot! I was then 'tangoed' and my feet look really nice - I've always considered life too short to paint my toe nails but I must admit they do look lovely and summery.
I have eaten well today. My PT suggested I should have more carbs at brekkie and introduce some protein too so this morning I had scarmbled eggs on toast and this did keep me going for a long time unlike the fruit and yogurt I normally have. He suggested that although fruit is good it is sugar (as is fruit juice) and that I should rethink my breakfasts. So his wish is my command especially as I want to get rid of some of the wobbly bits that go to make up my middle aged spread.
I had a nightmare yesterday making a large batch of chocolate squares (similar to millionaires shortbread thingies). The caramel bit didn't set too well and it went everywhere - kitchen floor, work surfaces, oven, sink, fridge and me of course now every thing you touch or walk on is very sticky - yuk! However, I will admit they do taste yummy!! I had to drag hubby off them and now they are safely in the freezer.
Off to Yorkshire tomorow morning. Spending time in York, I want to look for an outfit for my 60th party bash next month, before driving to friends for the night before the wedding BBQ (or not looking at the weather forcast). I've got me big hat and outfit all sorted - it's always a worry I might forget something. When setting off to the hotel for my step daughters wedding a couple of years ago, hubby (who was going to the church with her) casually asked "Got your outfit"? AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARG NO!!!
I hope you all have a great weekend.

Love your PT tips as well - please let us know more of these ideas as the protein for breakfast was something I had known but hadn't thought about for a while
How did York go? Can't wait to read the next instalment in the adventure!
Thanks for your kind facebook message too
Just thinking about protein - I remember the breakfasts I ate in Greece, as I could not have the smoothies there - and mainly it was yoghurt and fresh fruit, but in comparison to a smoothie, to which I add the whey protein and oats - the yoghurt bit would only keep me going for a much shorter period than the smoothies - just my little topping's worth.
