Expected weight gain in next 7 months - 24lbs!!! :-)
Well that's what all the books tell you is the average pregnancy weight gain. Yep, me and Lovely Chap are going to be parents come January :-) To say we're pleased is an understatement - when I left my unhappy marriage I thought the best of my child-bearing days were behind me and that I may never be a mum. After moving in with Lovely Chap in Feb we thought we'd better crack on with it as aged 38 it may take some time... and here I am 8 weeks pregnant and feeling truly blessed.
Now that I've started telling family & close friends I thought I'd let you guys on the blogs know too as I've been awol for a few weeks and thought I'd better explain myself (Mandie, don't worry, I'm not still on that run Forrest Gump stylee!).
So... I think I'm temporarily out of the petecohen.tv gang. Let's face it, there's only one direction my scales are going to be going over the next few months. Here's hoping for a healthy pregnancy. Take care you guys and I expect I'll be back in early 2010 to shift those post-bump pounds!

The programme will still be workable for you while you are pregnant (perhaps gentler exercise) and in fact will ensure that you stay healthy and not put on too much weight.
Lots of love to you and LC.
What lovely news!
I agree with Wendy, you could still stay with us, I'm sure Pete mentions pregnancy in the frequently asked questions section??
A friend also introduced me to Clarins 'Relax' body oil which is skin-friendly and makes the bump smooth and scented. It's rosemary-scented. It's expensive for a bottle, but the bottle did last me the whole pregnancy.
Please stay with us as you can keep yourself fit and healthy without focussing on weight loss.
You'll have the fittest, healthiest baby ever!

you will always be apart of this family as you know it's not all about weight loss but rather a positive community of people who support each other through thick and thin
take care and stay in touch

Wendy/LilyCherry - I agree that the programme is ok during pregnancy. I've been thinking very carefully about this as I know that it's not your typical 'diet' plan and that it's perfectly safe i.e. the tools are appropriate even in pregnancy. I'll continue to keep them in mind and maybe watch a video now and again to keep myself on track, but I can't see me repeating the 21 day programme right now. I'm eating really well at the moment - it's amazing the motivation that comes with the thought you have a little baby growing inside you who is totally dependent on your nutrition. Lots of fruit and veg, organic milk & meat from my new favourite venue (the local farm shop!) and of course, the alcohol is long gone. I'm keeping up my 2l of water a day and have been continuing with my daily walking (60-90mins) so it's all good. I think I have even lost a pound or two but I imagine things will soon start moving in the other direction.
Anyway, I'm keeping tabs on you lot. The six week challenge sounds great. Good luck and I'll be sure to keep in touch.

So, it's been a while!! I did mean to post when my baby was born but those of you who are mums will appreciate how hectic things get!! So, I had a beautiful baby girl, Emma, at the end of January and she has just turned 4months old - golly, how time flies!! She is just adorable and I am loving motherhood.
In terms of weight gain, I have no idea how much I put on, but it was less than that predicted 24lbs. 1 week after I had Emma I was back in my old clothes and weighed the same as I did before I got pregnant - unfortunately that wasn't a good weight to begin with!! And in the last 4 months all those rushed meals and naughty treats to 'keep my energy up' have seen me put on another few pounds so it's definitely time to lose the jelly belly and try and achieve yummy mummy status! I think what brought it home was when Emma just weighed in at just over a stone and I realised I would like to lose about 2.5 of her from my own body weight!! Kind of puts it into perspective when I lift her up! So, Pete's bargain offer was v well timed!!
Anyway, like I said, I have to try and see if I can revive this user-id with my new sign-up then I'll be back on the scene. Anyone I know out there, please say hi! And I'm looking forward to meeting all the new faces too.
