The first day of spring
My diary says that today is the first day of spring - wouldn't it be nice if the rest of spring could be as warm and sunny as today. Feeling better - chest infection is slowly getting better -but still very tired. Started off quite well food wise - healthy breakfast and lunch but then went a bit downhill. New office 'rules' were published - all my team fed up - someone bought cake at lunch time -only had a bit but annoyed with myself. Finished work at 4 - supposed to be doing the food shop but then got caught in massive traffic jam - everywhere gridlocked - took me three hours to get home - arrived starving - overate dinner plus had some fruit cake - simply because it was there. Oh well - I know Pete said to think of it as being a pilot being off course and having to make corrections but I seem to have ended up in Australia. Never mind tomorrow is another day. Wish me luck for tomorrow afternoon - not only have I got to fit in the food shopping I've also got to take my daughter to get some school shoes - (apparently she wants heels or she's not wearing them!!) always ends in tears - its just a question of whether its hers or mine!! Have a great weekend - Bizzib xxx

Glad you are feeling a bit better today - hey it was only a 'bit' of cake and under the circumstances I think you are totally forgiven....New Office Rules???? Does that new Boss of yours need to get a life?
Then you got stuck in a traffic jam - it's so frustrating isn't it? such wasted time when you could be doing something much more fun.
Good luck with the food and 'shoe' shopping tomorrow (poor you!) hope it ends in smiles and not tears.
Luv
Debs xx
Sorry to hear you've had a bad day.
Some thoughts......the office rules - could you just all laugh at them (behind his back of course!) and try and just see them for the ridiculous statements that they are! Just a thought, but if the team is bonded into just laughing at them and not geting annoyed, then it might help.
And traffic jams - have some oatcakes in the glove box - so that you always have something healthy to eat if you are stuck.
Hope you have a lovely weekend, even with the shoes! Much love xx
As for the school shoes - I SO empathise. I have a 13 year old boy with the same attitude (he doesn't want heels though thank God!) so what I did last time is I let him have what he wanted as long as they cost less than £20 - they last six weeks, fell apart, socks got soaked, soles flapping etc. Next time he had a SENSIBLE pair and I've not heard a peep since! She'll cripple herself in heels - we both know this - so get her some cheap ones let her find out! Good luck....:)))) M xxx
