OT: Sleep problema as cause of depression
This is an interesting article that introduces a enw perception that "some sleep problems generate symptoms that mimic those of certain psychiatric disorders."

Not to mention that good sleep is important to weight loss and vice versa.

Thanks for your blog it's always great to hear from you.
So tell me I know you think of me when you mention exercise but how are you getting on. I can visulise you being out in the wonderful Brazilian sunshine walking or swimming.
The sun is out here today but there was a very heavy frost this morning.
Take care and keep blogging to let us know how you are doing.
Luv Elaine xxxx
Thanks for the links. I do not have any problems sleeping just do not get enough. I commute to London about 3 days a week and it takes about 2 and half hours each way as a minimum. This means early starts - out of the house by 6.45 to walk to thye station and earlier some days and home late often gone 10pm. I tend to be wide awake when I get home so find again and again that it is gone midnight before I get to bed. This means I am often having only 4-5 hours sleep a night and I think this might have contributed to weight gain over the last few years.
Have a good day
Pete
Elaine, I will post a photo of today, so beautiful, not a single cloud in the sky and quite hot.
Gowrie, I've been reading many articles about sleep deprivation. I will look for them.
